Volunteer travel insurance
It is a requirement of joining our volunteer programmes and highly recommended for anyone volunteering abroad to take out suitable travel insurance. Naturally Africa Volunteers has partnered with World Nomads to provide you an option for your volunteer travel insurance.
With World Nomads it’s possible to purchase a policy and claim online, even after you’ve left home. World Nomads’ travel insurance is intended for adventurous travellers with cover for overseas medical, evacuation, baggage and a wide range of adventure sports and activities. Cover is available for travellers from 140 countries.
Please read your policy documents, inclusions and exclusions of cover carefully before purchase to ensure that you are happy with the details and terms of cover. It is your responsibility to make sure that you take out a suitable Level of Cover for the activities that you will be taking part in as a volunteer and during your travels, as these may not all be included under Level 1 e.g. working – manual work.
